Professional Experience

Dr. Max Lipsky has been practising as a lawyer in the field of corporate and commercial law since 2011. He provides comprehensive legal advice to investors (VCs, business angels, family offices, strategic investors), companies (including start-ups/scale-ups and medium-sized enterprises) as well as their shareholders – from formation (choice of legal form, founder agreements, etc.), cooperation arrangements (e.g. joint ventures), financing matters (structuring of equity interests, venture capital, etc.) through to a later sale (exit, SPA, due diligence, etc.). Due to his many years of work for multidisciplinary partnerships, Dr. Max Lipsky also has extensive experience in the reorganisation and restructuring of corporate groups (including mergers, carve-outs, etc.); this includes the prudent and early involvement of tax law expertise.

Dr. Max Lipsky’s focus on private international law during his legal training and his doctorate in the field of cross-border credit security law enable him to provide legally sound advice in an international context. In this regard, he has successfully advised on various transactions with a foreign nexus and cross-border transformation processes.

Since 2018, Dr. Max Lipsky has been chairman of the supervisory board of a medium-sized stock corporation based in Hamburg. He regularly holds workshops and lectures on corporate law topics, including M&A/financing processes and employee participation through option programmes and virtual participation schemes (VESOP).
